T-Wolves Gaming Unveils Logo
December 11, 2018
Minneapolis-St. Paul – T-Wolves Gaming, the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA 2K League affiliate team, today unveiled its logo ahead of its first season in the NBA 2K League. The T-Wolves Gaming logo was created through a collaborative effort between the Timberwolves and Mississippi-based design expert Rodney Richardson of RARE Design. The logo was unveiled this morning on the team’s social media channels via a video highlighting the team’s new identity.
Throughout all of history, no other animal has been more revered as a warrior than the wolf. The shape of the logo is representative of the fierceness of the mask warriors wear into battle. The bold statement of the logo and the colors show the energy and the veracity T-Wolves Gaming will bring to the league.
On August 15, 2018, the NBA 2K League announced the addition of a Minnesota Timberwolves affiliate team, which will compete beginning with the 2019 season. Minnesota joins the affiliates of the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers in signing on for the league’s second season, bringing the total number of teams to 21.
T-Wolves Gaming acquired the franchise’s first two players in September, trading for Brandon “Hood” Caicedo and selecting Mihad “I F E A S T” Feratovic with the 6th overall pick in the first-ever NBA 2K League Expansion Draft. Shawn Vilvens was named the franchise’s first General Manager and Head Coach on October 25, 2018.
