T-Wolves Gaming Defeats Grizz Gaming in 2023 Season Opener

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL – T-Wolves Gaming, the official NBA 2K League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves, opened their fifth season with THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T, defeating Grizz Gaming 76-58.

Shooting guard Dhwan “ShiftyKaii” White led the team with 29 points, shooting 13/15 from the field and added two assists and one steal. Michael “BearDaBeast” Key tallied 23 points (10/12) and contributed eight steals. Abdafatah “TBShiftay” Noman, a 2022 Defensive Player of the Year finalist grabbed nine boards.

In his NBA 2K debut, small forward Saif “Clampism” Ali finished the night with 12 points, two assists and one block.

“It was great to start our season with a win and we’re excited to get the season underway,” said T-Wolves Gaming Head Coach Nick Gartrelle. “Both ShiftyKaii and BearDaBeast turned in solid performances. We’ll look to continue to develop Saif as a key player in the front court.”
