T-Wolves Gaming Announces 2020 Schedule

Minneapolis-St. Paul – T-Wolves Gaming, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves and NBA 2K League reigning champion, today announced the schedule of regular-season matchups and tournaments for its second season which begins March 24-28 with THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T at the NBA 2K League Studio. On Wednesday, April 1, T-Wolves Gaming will begin their season against Hawks Talon GC at 9:00 p.m. ET.

The NBA 2K League season will consist of 16 regular-season weekly contests and three tournaments, THE TIPOFF, THE TURN and THE TICKET, in which teams will compete for banners that link to form THE BANNER CHAIN powered by AT&T. All 23 teams will compete in THE TIPOFF and THE TURN and the 14 teams not in the top nine playoff seeds will compete in THE TICKET, in which the winning team will earn the 10th and final playoff spot. Over the course of the season the NBA 2K League will award $1.4 million in prize money. The majority of weekly games will be played at the NBA 2K League Studio on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays and will be streamed via the league’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

On February 22, T-Wolves Gaming participated in its second NBA 2K League draft at Terminal 5 in New York City. The team completed its six-man roster by selecting Xavier “Big Saint” St. James and Christopher “Detoxys” Doyle.

T-Wolves Gaming will once again train at the state-of-the-art T-Wolves Gaming Training Center located on the skyway level of Mayo Clinic Square, which also houses the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Practice Courts and business offices in downtown Minneapolis.

T-Wolves Gaming’s schedule is highlighted by a matchup with Gen.G Tigers on April 25, who are in their inaugural season of the NBA 2K League and mark the first 2K League team outside of North America. Also this season, a round robin matchup has T-Wolves Gaming playing Pacers Gaming, Bucks Gaming and Pistons GT in the same day on June 13. T-Wolves Gaming will be hosting these events on April 25 and June 13 in the Twin Cities market. Location for these games will be announced at a later time.
